The Winston had a warm, inviting atmosphere with easy access to the main areas, making it convenient for seniors like me. The decor was charming, and the staff were attentive, ensuring we felt comfortable throughout our stay.
More comfortable seating in public areas would help.

I loved chilling by the pool and enjoying the cozy lounge area after a long day. It was awesome to relax with friends and catch up over drinks while watching sports on the big screen. The only downside was the Wi-Fi could be a bit spotty at times, but overall, it didn’t ruin the vibe. 🌟

Just a suitable option for a short stayover in Southampton at a reasonable price. The owner went shopping to get us pimms when they ran out at the bar. Make sure to join the bar for a chat with the staff.

explore parks and museums within walking distance
I originally booked for one night but ended up extending my stay to three because I felt incredibly welcomed by the friendly staff and found the room to be comfortable and quiet enough for a great night's sleep, making it easy to recharge after exploring the nearby SeaCity Museum and the beautiful parks around the area.

The bathrooms, while tidy, could use a touch more space. they're snug, making it a bit of a squeeze for anyone with extra gear after a night out. The walk to the nightlife is decent at about 10-15 minutes, but be ready for a stretch after a few drinks. If you’re planning to roll in late, the side entrances can be a little tricky to spot when you're less than sober.

Perfect for a boys' weekend!
22 lads rocked up ready for a footie tour, wigs and all. Steve welcomed us like old mates, and we quickly felt at home! The bar had everything we needed – pool, TV, and a good vibe. Rooms were clean and cozy. Only thing was we could’ve used more space for our gang.

missingWrote a review on 11 Marcramped roomdated decor
The room was pretty cramped and cold, with all the traffic noise from the front. It definitely needs some TLC—everything felt dated and there was mold on the ceiling in the tiny ensuite. I'd say it's in dire need of a refresh. not the comfiest of stays.

Comfortable room with a flat-screen TV and kettle. Bar service inconsistent, and favorite beers often out of stock. Great location near city center and ferry port. Enjoyed live sport events during my stay.

I had a lovely stay at The Winston. The room felt cozy and was equipped with everything needed, like a flat-screen TV and tea-making facilities. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the city center and ferry port. The convenience made exploring Southampton a breeze. the bar service was hit or miss. The staff seemed inconsistent with their stock, which was frustrating. One night, my friend asked for a simple coffee, but the barman was rude and didn’t seem to understand. It took forever to get it too, which didn’t match the otherwise nice vibe of the place. The bar could definitely use a more consistent and friendly approach to service.
